5 People Added to the Citrus Hall of Fame

One of our favorite “jobs” around here is telling stories through video, especially when it’s for the Florida Citrus Hall of Fame. This year they had five inductees, 3 posthumously and 2 living legends. We are always amazed at how much one person can accomplish in a lifetime and contribute to the good of an industry. We thought it was extremely interesting that Dancy had the tangerine named after him, Veldhuis helped invent frozen concentrate, Hooks took the message of orange juice to the international community, Schirard made a diverse family business around citrus and Harding developed citrus maturity standards. Well-deserved.
